What is a reward point worth in India

A point has no fixed rupee price. Value is redemption rupees divided by points spent, on that path, on that day. Statement credit, vouchers, portals, and transfers each produce a different number.

Do the division yourself

If 10,000 points become a ₹3,000 statement credit, that is ₹0.30 a point. If the same 10,000 points book a ₹8,000 flight you would have bought anyway, that is ₹0.80 a point. Those are examples of the method, not live offers.

Compare programs only after you convert both to rupees this way. 'Five points per ₹150' is an earn rate, not a burn value.

Use the path you will actually take

A theoretical hotel transfer you will never book is not your point value. Your value is the redemption you will confirm. If that is cashback, accept the lower number and stop collecting a travel currency.

Perks Premium is built to choose a better path once you have a goal. Earn picks at checkout stay free so the balance you later divide is larger.

  • Value = rupees you get / points you spend.
  • Ignore brochure earn rates when you are deciding a burn.
  • Recompute when the bank changes the catalogue.

How Perks uses point value

Recommendations use published earn rules and caps. Burn advice, when you have Premium, is about not taking the low rupee path by habit. We do not invent a live ₹/point table for every bank on this page.

Common questions

How do I calculate reward point value?
Divide the rupees you receive by the points you redeem on that path. That is the only number that matters for that redemption.
Why do blogs quote different point values?
They assume different redemptions. A travel transfer and statement credit are not the same product.
Will Perks show my point value?
Premium burn tools are for invited users in the app. This guide is the method you can use in any bank portal today.
