How airport lounge access works on Indian credit cards
Airport lounge access is a perk with a clock. Domestic and international visits are often separate. Many cards now need a quarterly spend before the door opens. Paying for a day pass when a card in the wallet still has a visit left is the leak.
Read the visit, the network, and the spend gate
A complimentary visit is not unlimited access. Count remaining visits for this quarter. Note whether the lounge is on the card's network or a railway lounge with different rules. Guest access is often extra or blocked.
Spend gates changed across several Indian issuers. A card that opened lounges last year may now need a minimum spend in the last 90 days. Check the issuer app before you travel, not the blog post you bookmarked.
Do not buy a pass until you check the wallet
If two cards in the wallet both cover the same terminal, use the one that still has visits and already met its spend gate. Save the other card for a later trip. A city-by-city lounge map is useful only after you know which of your cards still qualifies.
Log travel spends when you get home so the next quarter's gate is visible. Perks does not replace the lounge QR or Priority Pass app. It helps you see which card was supposed to cover the visit.
- Domestic, international, and railway lounges are different perks.
- Confirm the spend threshold in the issuer app before you fly.
- Use a remaining visit before you pay for a day pass.
How Perks helps with lounge perks
Add the cards that carry lounge access. Log the travel spend after the trip. Milestone tracking on the free tier can show a spend gate you are close to. We will not invent a lounge count or a city directory on this page.
Common questions
- Do all Indian credit cards include airport lounge access?
- No. Many cards have no lounge perk. Others cap visits or require a recent spend. Read the current terms on the cards you hold.
- Why was my complimentary lounge visit declined?
- The visit cap was used, the spend gate was missed, the lounge was off-network, or guest rules blocked the entry. Check the issuer app for remaining visits.
- Does Perks map lounges by airport?
- No. This guide is how lounge perks work on cards you added. Confirm the live lounge list in your issuer or lounge-network app.
